Dr. Suresh Tamang

Dr. Tamang is a public health professional, expert, and social welfare activist. Holding a master's degree in public health administration from the United Kingdom and a Ph.D. in social welfare from the University of Hawaiʻi, USA, he has been actively involved in Nepal’s public health and social development sectors for over two and a half decades. His work focuses on research and advocacy concerning Indigenous peoples and other minority communities. Currently, he serves as a researcher at the Nick Simons Institute and as an Indigenous Affairs Advisor/GESI Expert at Rural Reconstruction Nepal, while also representing the international organization Give2Asia in Nepal.
