Lawmakers from Tharu indigenous communities on Tuesday claimed that over 100 Indigenous Tharus have been killed during the carnage in Kailali district on Monday.

They made this claim while meeting with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at his resident in Baluwatar on Tuesday morning. They also claimed that over hundreds of Indigenous Tharus were killed as police randomly opened fire on Monday, but have not been reported.  According to them, many members of Tharu community have gone missing.

They also suspected that their dead body might have been concealed. During the meeting, lawmakers also urged PM Koirala to make conducive environment for enabling human rights activists and journalists so that the truth behind this might come to the front.
